An attorney for a young man who had been seriously injured when he fell from a rockwall at a local fair sought the assistance of Connors LLP after several years of litigation against the corporation that owned the amusement attraction. Our firm took over the case, and Lawlor Quinlan and Caitlin O’Neil completed discovery and obtained a successful verdict in the liability portion of the trial. Even after we proved that the defendant’s carelessness caused the client’s injuries, the insurance company still would not pay the policy. In December 2018, Quinlan and O’Neil tried the damages case before a separate jury. After several days of trial, the insurance carrier finally agreed to pay $950,000 of its 1 million dollar policy.
