Firm’s Successful Fraternity-Hazing Case Featured on National Television

In June 2018, “Dateline NBC” presented the story of the family of Nolan Burch and their struggle to obtain justice for their son. In 2014, Burch had been forced to consume a bottle of whiskey at a fraternity event and then was carried unconscious back to the fraternity house where he later succumbed to alcohol poisoning.  Lawlor F. Quinlan successfully prosecuted a civil action against the national fraternity, the fraternity members, and the university, and obtained a landmark confidential settlement from the defendants.  Nolan’s parents, TJ and Kim, have established a foundation in their son’s name to promote alcohol safety on college campuses.
