Rebecca F. Izzo
Rebecca F. Izzo earned her J.D. from Yale Law School, where she was awarded the Joseph A. Chubb Prize for Excellence in Legal Draftsmanship. Prior to joining Connors, Rebecca was an associate at WilmerHale LLP in Boston, MA. She represented clients in a variety of complex civil litigation matters, including intellectual property disputes and securities investigations. Her experience included being on a trial team that successfully defended against a $240 million patent-infringement suit and prevailed on a trade-secret-misappropriation counterclaim. She maintained an active pro bono practice, for which she earned the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights and Economic Justice Pro Bono Award.
Rebecca also has extensive federal clerkship experience, having served as a law clerk to the Honorable Lawrence J. Vilardo (U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York), the Honorable William E. Smith (U.S. District Court for the District of Rhode Island), and the Honorable Bruce M. Selya (U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit).
While in law school, Rebecca was a member of the Veterans Legal Services Clinic. She represented U.S. military veterans and veterans’ organizations in civil litigation and administrative proceedings. Based on her clinic work, Rebecca published a comment in the Yale Law Journal—In Need of Correction: How the Army Board for Correction of Military Records Is Failing Veterans with PTSD, 23 YALE L.J. 5 (2014) —which has been used by the Boston Bar Association in discharge-upgrade trainings. Rebecca also served as the Comments and Book Reviews Editor of the Yale Law & Policy Review and Co-President of the Initiative for Public Interest Law at Yale.
